Mariachi Summer Camp
We are excited to announce that the 2026 Mariachi Summer Camp is back for another year. It will be held at Roskruge K-8 School. The camp will run from Friday, May 29th, to Thursday, June 25th, 2026. The last day of camp will be at the Casino Ballroom for the final concert (more info to come). Instructions will take place from 1:00 to 4:45 p.m. TUSD will provide an optional lunch for children 18 years or younger in the cafeteria from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m.

Roskruge K-8 School, 501 E 6th Street, Tucson, AZ
- Drop-off Time: 1:00 p.m. (If your child is eating lunch, drop-off is at 12:30 p.m.)
- Pick-up Time: 4:45 p.m.
- Location: East Side of the School – Students will enter through the cafeteria.
- Sign-in/Sign-out: All parents must walk their child(ren) into the cafeteria to sign them in and out. (Please do not park in the employee parking lot; parking is available along the side of the school.)
Friday, May 29th, is instrument sign-out day at Roskruge. There will be No Instruction on this day. Instead, students will:
✔ Sign out an instrument (if needed)
✔ Locate their classroom
✔ Receive their Cancionero (songbook)
✔ Familiarize themselves with the school
The first day of instruction will be Monday, June 1st.

Students will be placed into classes based on their instrument, age, and experience/skill level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced). Instruments of choice will be:
Instruction is divided into three periods each day. The Davis-Romero Mariachi Summer Camp welcomes students from incoming kindergarten (must be at least 5 years old) through high school seniors.
- Guitar
- Vihuela (limited space unless you have your own instrument)
- Violin
- Trumpet
- Harp (limited space unless you have your own instrument)
- Guitarrón (limited space unless you have your own instrument)
Between class periods, students will have breaks. They may stay inside the cafeteria or play outside. Due to the summer heat, we encourage students to remain indoors as much as possible. We also recommend that students bring water bottles and snacks from home. They are welcome to eat inside the cafeteria or outside under the trees.
The 4-week camp fee is $290, which includes:
✔ Use of an instrument (if needed)
✔ Cancionero (songbook) with sheet music
✔ Instrument Instruction of choice
✔ Weekly Performances
The fee must be paid by Wednesday, May 27th, 2026.
Please return the Summer Mariachi Camp Registration Form with your payment
to Elizabeth Ladriere in the front office at Davis-Romero Bilingual Magnet School by the payment deadline of May 27th. We accept all payment Visa, Master Card, Discover and Apple Pay.

Camp T-shirts are now available for purchase! All T-shirt orders will be submitted on May 15, 2026, so please be sure to place your order by date to guarantee your shirt.

Students must follow TUSD's dress code and code of conduct. Please remind your child to follow school rules and behave respectfully. Repeated behavioral issues may result in suspension from camp (nonrefundable).
